Vegetarian Meat Balls

Taste Classic, but... Vegetarian!

As a pescatarian I always crave meat balls.. but dislike meat. I think its the concept that triggers the craving being Italian and all! Here is a recipe for all vegetarians, pescatarians that derives from the classic Italian meatball.


Serves: 4

Prep Time: 5min

Cook Time: 20min

Mise En Place: 

  • 1 package of beyond meat (or any vegetarian ground meat)

  • 3/4 Cups auroras breadcrumbs (Italian style)

  • 3/4 cup Parmesan or romano cheese

  • 1 tsp dried oregano

  • 1 tsp or less dried chili flakes

  • salt and pepper

  • 1/4 cup parsley

  • 1 egg

  • olive oil

  • 1 Jar marinara sauce

How To Make: 

1. Preheat oven to 375*

2. Mix the ground meat with bread crumbs, parmesean, parsley, oregano, salt, pepper, olive oil, egg, chli flakes and mix with your hands!

3. Roll the mixture into 2-3 tablespoon sized balls and place on the baking sheet

4. Bake for 15 minutes until meatballs are cooked

5. Add meatballs to a fully cooked marinara sauce in a pan on the stove

6. Submerge for up to 20 minutes on simmer

7. Serve with sauce (and cooked pasta of your choice)
